"If you like it, it’s not stupid."

I was watching The Spectacular Now, and it came to the scene where Aimee becomes embarrassed over the fact that she likes a comic book, and she calls it 'stupid' Sutter then follows with "If you like it, it's not stupid." This really stood out to me and got me thinking about how a lot of the times we're seriously embarrassed about the things we love and the things that make us happy. We tend to sometimes even bad mouth them because we're too embarrassed or scared about what other people are going to think. We  even go as far as to pretend we aren't associated with these things, and I think that's so wrong of us. If we find solace in something, no one should ever make us feel bad for that -including ourselves-, and we shouldn't allow them to. It's absolutely incredible to find something that makes you happy and brings you comfort, whether it's a book, a band, or a friend. Whatever it is that makes you happy you should embrace. You should bring it to light no matter how ridiculous you think it may be. It's important that we hold on and share the things that make us happy. Realize that they're not stupid and maybe that will  help someone else realize it too.

Don't ever be ashamed of the things you love people are going to try and use them against you but continue to love them continue to let them make u happy

When you can wear a sweater and you aren't hot but you can also wear a T shirt and not be cold
